Portrait of Emery Porter

About Me

I build products at the intersection of consumer tech, fin-tech, and enterprise software and I’ve shipped them from both the engineering and business side of the table.

My path here wasn’t traditional. I got my start playing and designing video games and board games, I cared so much about gaming that I founded Blink Studios to try and make something fun. However, with no real-world experience I decided to move on to Citigroup as a programmer. After a while I decided that I wanted to be more in control of the products I worked on and left to get my MBA.

During it I got the opportunity work on the Cheetos brand team at Frito-Lay which cemented my love for product strategy. Now I’m finishing in the top of my class at SMU Cox concentrating in Strategy & Entrepreneurship and Management, with minors in IT & Operations Management and Marketing.

I am here because I have a passion for shipping products and solving problems and make lives better and because of my technical background I have the means and ability to make it happen!
